Here's my story..

I grew up in Chicago. I met my husband, Erik, in high school. We moved to the sunshine state after high school where he went to University of Florida and I attended cosmetology school. We lived in Florida for about 7 years. Holy shit..people aren't kidding when they call Florida "the basement of the U.S."! Covered in mildew and crawling with insects! 

During that time we got engaged, married, and acquired 2 pugs! 

From there we decided it was time to head back to the midwest and found ourselves in Ohio! Shortly before our move we had begun trying to get pregnant. Countless doctor and specialist visits later, we were able to succeed after one and a half years of trying!

We opened a coffee roasting business, Tugboat Coffee, in Chicago and are slowly making our way back to the Windy City! 

Some other random, totally important facts about me....

1. I am totally jealous of my husbands natural uber blond hair.

2. I have 3 siblings..all of us are completely crazy and live in different states.

3. I could live off of peanut m&m's and diet pepsi. Not Coke.....Pepsi.

4. I love to bake..especially cookies and brownies. That's why holidays are the bomb...calories definitely don't count then!

5. Life would be so much better is everything was pink, gray, and covered in sparkles.
